Content Scheduling: Plan and Automate Your Publishing

Timing matters in content marketing. Sofia Creative's scheduling feature lets you plan when content goes live, so you can prepare everything in advance and publish at the optimal time for your audience.

Schedule Before or After Approval

You can set a scheduled publish date at any stage: during content creation, after approval, or from the publishing screen. The content won't go live until the scheduled time arrives and all approval requirements are met.

Time Zone Awareness

Set your workspace's time zone in settings. All scheduled times are displayed in your local time zone, so "Publish at 9:00 AM" means 9:00 AM in your configured zone, regardless of the server's location.

Multi-Channel Scheduling

Schedule the same content to publish across multiple channels at different times. For example, a blog post goes live on WordPress at 8:00 AM, the social snippet hits Facebook at 10:00 AM, and the LinkedIn version publishes at 2:00 PM — all from a single scheduling session.

Queue-Based Publishing

Scheduled content enters a publishing queue. The system processes the queue automatically via Laravel's task scheduler, checking every minute for content that's ready to publish. If a publish fails (e.g., API timeout), the system retries with exponential backoff.

Reschedule with Drag-and-Drop

Changed your mind about the publish time? Use the calendar view to drag-and-drop content to a new date and time. No need to open the content editor — just drag and confirm.

Scheduling Best Practices

  • Schedule social posts during peak engagement hours (typically 9–11 AM and 1–3 PM local time)
  • Stagger multi-channel posts by 2–4 hours to maximize reach
  • Use campaign briefs to plan your content calendar a week or month in advance
  • Review the calendar view weekly to spot gaps or overlaps in your schedule
