Content Version History: Track Every Change with Diff View

When multiple team members edit the same content, keeping track of changes is essential. Sofia Creative automatically saves a version history for every piece of content, letting you review what changed, when, and by whom.

Automatic Versioning

Every time content is saved — whether manually or auto-saved — a new version is recorded. Each version captures the full content state, timestamp, and the author who made the change. You don't need to do anything special; versioning happens in the background.

Diff View: See Exactly What Changed

Select any two versions and view a side-by-side diff. Added text is highlighted in green, removed text in red. This makes it easy to see exactly what a team member changed without reading the entire document. The diff view works for both the HTML body and plain text excerpts.

Restore Previous Versions

Found a version you prefer? Click "Restore" to bring it back as the current version. The restored version becomes a new entry in the history, so you never truly lose anything. This is especially useful when an edit goes wrong or when a client prefers an earlier draft.

Version Timeline

The version panel shows a chronological timeline of all changes. Each entry displays the author's name, avatar, and a timestamp. Hover to preview, click to view the full content, or select two entries to compare.

Why It Matters for Teams

In an agency setting where editors, leads, and reviewers all touch the same content, version history provides accountability and safety. Reviewers can see what changed since their last review. Leads can track how content evolved from the initial AI draft to the final published version.
